In April 2008 YMCA Scotland brought together twelve senior practitioners from a range of disciplines and institutions that have a concern for excluded young men. The discussion focused on how we support and perceive young men in Scotland who are at risk or who struggle to achieve their fullest potential. A paper, which will be the basis for this seminar, was published that aimed to state the case for "a whole new approach to working with young men in Scotland"
This seminar offers two sections 1. A step by step walk through the practical issues involved in setting up and running a detached programme. 2. A deeper reflection on issues that arise out of this type of work, implications for models of church and workers' own spirituality.
We will be looking at some of the differnt elements of leading worship within the various context of church life. Touching on waht it says about worship in the Bible, theology and worship, revelation and response, how to grow your team and making music happen.
