Ali is a Baptist minister and currently works for the Baptist Union of Scotland supporting churches as they try and make disciples in the 21st century. He has been involved in youth work for many years and loves to encourage young leaders to step up into who they are made to be. Ali has also served as chair of the Deep Impact planning team. He is from Glasgow, loves football, food, films and most importantly his family.
Pam is the youth and community work placement manager for Nazarene Theological College based in Glasgow, she works closely with students to get the most out of their placements throughout the course of their degree. She came into this role after spending 15 years involved in community youth work at Linlithgow Young People’s Project and St Michaels Church of Scotland.
Dez heads up Alpha Scotland supporting churches all over the nation. He also lives as part of an incarnational urban mission team with his wife Fi, daughter Amber and their new wee boy, Cody. When he is not cooking for his fam, Dez loves music, the PS4 and sunglasses! He also has a small addiction to really really old books and working out new ways of communicating to our culture.
Sandra is Youth for Christ’s local ministries development manager in Scotland and serves as a school chaplain in Glasgow. Prior to that, she worked in a mainstream high school supporting pupils with additional learning needs. One of her passions (alongside supporting Scotland in the rugby, good coffee and movies) is keeping ‘why we do what we do’ central… seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus!
Kieran is part of the Evangelical Alliance Scotland team looking after public engagement and public leadership work as well as helping support Deep Impact. Prior to this he worked at the Scottish Parliament and has spent several years working in youth and community work in different parts of Glasgow. Married to Helen and now definitely outnumbered with two young daughters, he is part of Parkhead Nazarene church, Glasgow.
Becca heads up Urban Saints in Scotland. Among other things her job is to equip volunteers to set up groups reaching unchurched young people. Becca was a church youth worker for 10 years before moving to Scotland in 2017 to start a new adventure with Urban Saints. Her favourite things are mountains, camping and a really good cup of tea.
Struan is a youth and children’s work coordinator for Young Crown in Inverness – an independent charity associated with Crown Church of Scotland. His role gives him scope to be involved in all sorts of Kingdom projects from supporting schools and community work to church development and being on the Deep Impact planning team. He has a proclivity for using unnecessarily elaborate words when ordinary ones would suffice.
